In scanning the day's dance news, this article in the Chicago Tribune caught my attention... and probably the attention of every other dance lover on US soil: "Paris Opéra Ballet to make first Chicago appearance in 2012" (linked above).
The Paris Opéra Ballet, considered the world's finest dance company, launches their 2012 North American Tour in Chicago. These appearances will be their first American performances in more than a decade. The full 154-member company will perform two programs. Slated for the tour are "Giselle" and a mixed-repertoire program including "Boléro".

The chance to see the Paris Opéra Ballet within a few hour's drive of Indianapolis is just fantastic, and obviously a rare event. Check out the information and start making plans for June 26-July 1 at the Harris Theater in Chicago. It's now on my calendar!
