Moonbug Photography recently shot the promotional pictures for our upcoming production of Coppelia. Check out some of the out-takes here.
Coppelia tells the high-spirited, humorous tale of Swanilda, her fiance Franz, the eccentric toymaker Dr. Coppelius and a lifelike doll.
This is an ideal ballet for families and audience members of all ages.
Set to music by Leo Delibes, ISB’s production is a traditional staging of the ballet after Lev Ivanov and Enrico Cecchetti, with additional choreography by Victoria Lyras.
Performers include more than 50 dancers including Indianapolis School of Ballet Pre-Professional Program students, dancers from across central Indiana selected through audition and guest artists. Kristin Young will perform as Swanilda, Chris Lingner is cast as her fiance Franz, and former Pennsylvania Ballet Principal dancer Paul Vitali will perform as the quirky yet lovable toy maker, Dr. Coppelius.
